Showering with hot showers is one the most comfortable experience that we can do in our home. After a busy day of work, a hot shower will be the best option to refresh our bodies. It would be perfect if we could easily turn on the water heater and immediately the hot water comes out.
Unfortunately, our water heater cannot magically and instantly give us an endless supply of hot water. It will need time to heat the water.
However, not all water heaters are the same, so it is important to know how long for the water heater to heat up for each type of heater. Some types of water heaters are gas heater, electric heaters, solar heaters, and tankless heaters.
Each type has a different capability in terms of speed in heating the water. When we talk about heating the water, we should also think about the water heater’s size.
There is some water size here, but the bigger the heater, the longer it will heat the water. To have a good measurement, we will use the most common size, 40 gallons.
Gas Water Heater
The gas water heater will need an averagely of between 30-40 minutes to heat the water. It is faster compared with other types of heaters such as an electric and solar heaters. So, you don’t have to wait too long to use this type of water heater.
Electric Water Heater
Averagely, the electric water heater will need between 60-80 minutes to heat the water. It is twice a longer time for the gas water heater to heat the water. So, if you use this type of water heater, you need to be more patient. It will help if you manage your time to turn on the water heater earlier when you want to use it.
Solar Water Heater
The solar water heater will need time approximately almost as same as the electric water heater, around 60-80 minutes. It is because a solar heater is typically connected to an electric water heater. However, if it doesn’t have any backup energy source, regarding the weather, it will be different in each condition.
Tankless Water Heater
It is still considered a new technology. However, this heater will give you the fastest way to get hot showers compared with other types of heaters. It is because the water is transferred through the device straight to your home.
